About the Artist

Rosemary is a versatile artist.  Although primarily a watercolourist, she also does fine detail in pen and ink, and often works in other media.  Besides some spectacular scene impressions she has completed a wide portfolio from historic homes, public architecture, nostalgia pieces and portraits to wildlife and fantasy paintings.

Her experience in technique and style arises from 10 years as proprietor of and teacher at the Gallery Art School where many new local talents have developed.  She has also spent 20 years in the commercial art field and has instructed at numerous workshops on painting skills and other art definitions.
Rosemary has lived in Northumberland County for over 35 years and has raised her family here.  She has developed much of her painting style from the beauty and serenity of her surroundings, from her North American and world travels, but especially from her home north of Port Hope where hilltop views and country scenes are often reflected in her work.  Recently her works carry you across Canada in reflective impressions of her visual experiences.

Many of Rosemary’s works are enjoyed in private collections locally, across North America and in Europe.

Her home is her major gallery and has many of her more cherished pieces hanging there.
